Shipping policy

Delivery Area

We deliver to all areas within South Africa. We do not currently offer international shipping. If you are located outside South Africa and wish to place an order, please contact us at hello@thelightingstudio.co.za to discuss options.

Shipping Costs
  • Standard delivery: R125 per order
  • Free delivery: on all orders over R1,500

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout and will be clearly displayed before you complete your purchase.

Couriers

We use The Courier Guy and MDS Collivery for deliveries, depending on your location and the size of your order. The courier assigned to your order will be confirmed in your shipping notification email.

Delivery Timeframes

Once your order has been placed and payment confirmed, please allow the following estimated timeframes:

  • In-stock items: 5–10 working days
  • Items ordered from supplier: 7–14 working days (you will be notified if this applies to your order)

These timeframes are estimates only. We are not liable for delays caused by courier services, public holidays, adverse weather, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Orders are not dispatched on weekends or public holidays.

Order Confirmation and Tracking

You will receive an order confirmation email as soon as your order is placed. Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipping notification with your tracking number and a link to track your delivery.

If you have not received a confirmation email within 24 hours of placing your order, please check your spam/junk folder before contacting us.

Delivery Address

Please ensure your delivery address is correct and complete at checkout. We are not responsible for failed or delayed deliveries resulting from an incorrect address provided by the customer.

If you need to change your delivery address after placing your order, contact us immediately at hello@thelightingstudio.co.za. We cannot guarantee address changes once an order has been dispatched.

Delivery and Risk

Risk in goods passes to you upon delivery. Please ensure someone is available to receive and inspect your order at the delivery address.

If you cannot be present to receive your delivery, please make arrangements for a trusted person to receive and inspect the goods on your behalf. Once signed for, the delivery is considered complete and goods are deemed to have been received in good condition.

Inspection on Delivery

Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives. If you notice any visible damage to the packaging or the goods themselves, please:

  1. Note the damage with the courier before signing
  2. Take photographs immediately
  3. Contact us within 48 hours of delivery at hello@thelightingstudio.co.za

We are unable to accept damage claims reported after 48 hours of delivery.

Multiple Items

If you order multiple items, they may be dispatched from different locations and arrive in separate deliveries. You will not be charged additional shipping for this.

Urgent Delivery

We do not currently offer guaranteed same-day or next-day delivery. If you have an urgent requirement, please contact us before placing your order and we will do our best to assist.
