Infrared heat lamps emit energy radiated in the wavelength range of about 780 nm to 1mm. Energy in this range cannot be seen by the human eye, but is sensed as heat by the skin. These lamps are used for the rearing of young animals, as well as various heating and drying applications, such as a food-pass in restaurants or heating in a bathroom.
